2022 NFL Draft Thread

Hello everyone, the 2022 NFL Draft is finally here, tonight at 8 pm ET, there are 8 teams with 2 picks in the 1st round with Detroit Lions being one of those teams with the 2nd and 32nd picks, the latter being the first of 2 1st rd. picks they got from the LA Rams in the Matt Stafford Trade. Let's hope they make smart decisions.

I'm a little torn on what the Lions should do, I prefer an Edge Rusher with the 2nd pick but if Hutchinson is not available, then I'd consider either Travon Walker from Georgia or Ahmad Gardner from Cincy. I prefer Walker because we need to put pressure on opposing QB's but my reservations with Walker is lack of stats produced on a stacked defense and only being a starter for one season. Gardner looks like a shutdown corner, I wouldn't mind him.

Here are the Lions picks barring any trades:

Thursday, April 28 — Day 1 starts at 8 p.m. ET

  • Round 1, Pick 2
  • Round 1, Pick 32

Friday, April 29 — Day 2 starts at 7 p.m. ET

  • Round 2, Pick 34
  • Round 3, Pick 66
  • Round 3, Pick 97

Saturday, April 30 — Day 3 starts at noon E.T.

  • Round 5, Pick 177
  • Round 6, Pick 181
  • Round 6, Pick 217
