On Friday night places No. 5-10 in the final Heisman voting were announced, and two Michigan players were on the list.

Michigan running back Blake Corum placed No. 9 while quarterback J.J. McCarthy placed No. 10.

Corum rushed for 1,028 yards and a nation leading 24 rushing touchdowns. Corum was named the Big Ten Running Back of the Year.

McCarthy completed 74.2 percent of his passes for 2,630 yards with 19 touchdowns and four interceptions.

Both players will be pivotal down the stretch for the Wolverines as their next tilt is against No. 4 Alabama in the Rose Bowl on New Year’s Day.

The Heisman winner will be announced on Saturday night on ESPN — the finalists include Oregon quarterback Bo Nix, Washington quarterback Michael Penix Jr., Ohio State wideout Marvin Harrison Jr. and LSU quarterback Jayden Daniels.
