Another young player with potential is on his way out of Ann Arbor, as Michigan cornerback Amorion Walker has entered the transfer portal, according to multiple reports.

The sophomore wide-receiver-turned-cornerback was expected to take a leap as a junior in Michigan’s defense. He switched to cornerback after his true freshman season and was someone Jim Harbaugh named as a starter the spring.

However, he clearly struggled in the spring game, and then an injury sustained just before the season limited him severely in 2023. He only played in six games, compiling two tackles and one pass breakup.

At 6-foot-3 and 180 pounds, Walker hails from the state of Louisiana and was a three-star recruit coming out of high school in the 2022 class. He was once committed to Notre Dame, but flipped to Michigan on National Signing Day.

Walker will have two years of eligibility remaining wherever he ends up next.
