Was a Class of 2020 top-140 overall recruit.https://t.co/fHwgEhuUcm pic.twitter.com/tSWKTo5qfT
The career backup tight end has been in Ann Arbor since the 2020 season. He did not play his true freshman season, but began to see some time on offense and special teams in 2021. But throughout his collegiate career at Michigan, he saw most of his snaps on special teams. The most recent big play he made was one hell of a tackle in the Rose Bowl this past season against Alabama.
In total, Hibner collected two receptions for 15 yards during his time at Michigan. He also contributed five tackles on special teams. He was a four-star recruit coming out of high school, so he does have the potential to do some nice things at a different school.
As with all players who either enter the portal or the NFL Draft, we wish Hibner luck during his next chapter.
