Tonight is the night — the Michigan Wolverines play the Washington Huskies in the College Football Playoff National Championship. We are just a couple hours away from kickoff, which means the official injury report has been released.

Without further ado, here is the final injury report for the 2023 season.

Out

  • Guard Zak Zinter
  • Defensive Tackle Rayshaun Benny
  • Running Back Cole Cabana

Questionable

  • Safety Quinten Johnson

Benny left the Rose Bowl with a lower-body injury and was seen in a cast following the game. He was hoping to give it a go in tonight’s game, but the injury is unfortunately too severe, so the Wolverines will have to rely a bit more on Cam Goode as a rotational piece at the defensive tackle position.

Johnson, who played in the last week’s Rose Bowl and made a big plan on the ball by forcing a fumble on Alabama quarterback Jalen Milroe, is listed as questionable for tonight’s game with an undisclosed injury. He’s come up clutch in a couple spots this season, so hopefully he’s able to give it a go this week for the final game of the year.

But every other key contributor is expected to go tonight for the Wolverines. Expect Michigan to leave it all on the field in Houston tonight, as it seeks its first national title since
