The Wolverines got their first playoff win last week against Alabama in the Rose Bowl and are 14-0 for the first time in program history. They now get the undefeated Huskies on tonight with a familiar face behind center.
Michael Penix Jr. beat Michigan back in 2020 when he was playing with Indiana and is looking to do it one more time, but this time with much higher stakes.

Today’s question: Can Michigan win its first national championship since 1997?
The Wolverines won a share of the 1997 national championship with Nebraska, but haven’t come close since. But tonight, that all changes when they play the Huskies.
Michigan has gone through so much this year, from Jim Harbaugh being suspended two different times to being called cheaters. The Wolverines have made it through it all and even slayed one of college football greats in Alabama.
The defense has led the way and they will need to do it again against the potent Huskies attack. If they can slow down the Penix Jr. and the Washington offense, they will have a great shot at hoisting the trophy.
