As expected, there was plenty to talk about over the course of Michigan’s win in the National Championship game against Washington. Here are some of the best reactions from social media to the game and Michigan’s performance.

A methodical opening drive for Michigan ends in a big 41-yard touchdown run for junior running back Donovan Edwards.

After a big red zone stand by the defense, Michigan’s offense gets on the board again by way of another long Donovan Edwards touchdown run.

Blake Corum adds to the fun with a 59-yard run of his own, giving Michigan 174 yards on the ground in the first quarter.

Halfway through the second quarter, head coach Jim Harbaugh gets a visit from a familiar face on the sidelines.

Michigan’s offense has gone cold in the second quarter, but the Wolverines still hold a one-possession lead at the half.

The Huskies had the momentum heading into the second half, but Will Johnson quickly makes an impressive interception to get the ball back.

Just a couple of well known names, including Michigan fan Derek Jeter, are in attendance to see the Wolverines in action tonight.

After a fast start for Michigan’s offense, the teams have turned this into a defensive slugfest in the second half.

In desperate need of some points, Michigan’s offense rips down the field to extend the lead to 14 thanks to a Blake Corum touchdown run.

Fittingly, Mike Sainristil comes up with yet another interception to put the exclamation point on Michigan’s title victory.

Michigan got the job done. A perfect season comes to a perfect ending in Houston and the Wolverines are National Champions.
