Class of 2016 point guard Derryck Thornton (Henderson, Nevada) announced on Tuesday that he has narrowed down his list of top schools to ten, which included the Michigan Wolverines.

Also included in his top group with U-M was Duke, Kentucky, Louisville, Arizona, California, USC, Miami, UNLV and NC State.

Thornton spoke with Scout.com's Josh Gershon about his thoughts on each of the schools in his top ten. (FREE)

On Michigan:

"I love the staff - it's a great staff - and all the coaches there are super supportive. I love the style of play and coaching staff."

Of the ten schools in his list, it looks like Michigan, Duke and Kentucky are in the best shape at this time. The Crystal Ball predictions on 247 Sports actually have the Wolverines in the lead with 40 percent of the selections sending him to Ann Arbor.

Thornton is a five-star prospect and the second-ranked point guard in the 2016 class.
