Michigan Basketball: LaVall Jordan Hired as Milwaukee Panthers Head Coach

Michigan faces its first bout of coaching staff attrition since 2010-11.

Michigan Basketball assistant coach LaVall Jordan has been hired as the head coach for the Milwaukee Panthers of the Horizon League, according to a report from ESPN's Jeff Goodman.

Jordan joined Michigan's coaching staff in 2010 after coaching stints at Butler, his alma mater, and Iowa.

Jordan's responsibilities in Ann Arbor included coaching the guards, who have seen a great amount of success in his time there. They have sent players to the NBA from the backcourt in Darius Morris, Tim Hardaway Jr., Trey Burke, Nik Stauskas and likely Caris LeVert before too long.

This will be the first time the Wolverines have to replace an assistant coach since the 2010-11 season, where all three had to be replaced.

The attrition may not be over, either. Assistant Bacari Alexander is reportedly up for the vacant job at the University of Detroit. We will know before too long if that is the case, but things will indeed look very different next season.

This story is developing.
