John Beilein and the Michigan Wolverines will start a home-and-home with one of college basketball's elite programs starting next season.

Michigan has agreed to a series with UCLA, which would see the Wolverines travel to Pauley Pavilion this upcoming season, according to a report from CBS Sports on Monday night.

The Bruins would then come to Ann Arbor on the return trip in 2017-18.

The two teams have met 16 times since 1959 and UCLA leads the all-time series 11-5. Michigan won the last game between them in a 79-63 win in the 2011 Maui Invitational.

Some have criticized Beilein's non-conference scheduling in recent seasons, so matching up with a team like UCLA will still make for an interesting series, despite their program being down the last few seasons. Michigan or UCLA have not confirmed the news yet and no date has been set in stone at the time of this story.
