Michigan, Michigan State Basketball Will Play Twice in 2016-17

MSU won the only game between the two teams last season.

The Big Ten has released its conference basketball schedule for 2016-17, and the big news is the Michigan Wolverines and Michigan State Spartans will play twice next season.

The two schools met just once last season — an 89-73 MSU win in Ann Arbor — but are set for a traditional home-and-home next year. Michigan coach John Beilein has made clear he prefers playing the Spartans twice a year, and most fans would likely agree.

Dates and times for the games haven't been determined just yet, and there's no guarantee of a two-game series in future seasons.

Other highlights of Michigan's conference schedule include a home-and-home with Indiana and a visit from Purdue and former Wolverine Spike Albrecht.
