NCAA Basketball: Michigan at Indiana Marc Lebryk-USA TODAY Sports

Fresh off wins over Michigan State and Indiana, USA Today now projects the Michigan Wolverines to make the NCAA Tournament as a No. 10 seed. UM would take on 7 seed Dayton in the first round in Orlando per this scenario, with the winner taking on either Florida State or Florida Gulf Coast.

The wins have come at a good time for Michigan as the season is beginning to wind down. The victory over Indiana is particularly satisfying since it’s the Wolverines’ first win at Assembly Hall since 2009.

Other Big Ten teams in USA Today’s projection include Maryland (6 seed), Minnesota (8 seed), Purdue (5), Northwestern (7), Wisconsin (6) and Michigan State (also a 10).

Michigan’s next game will be at home on Thursday to face the Wisconsin Badgers, a team they played tough, but lost to, on the road just a couple weeks ago.
