The Michigan basketball team entered the Associated Press’ Top 25 last week for the first time all season, landing in at No. 23.
But after going 2-1 this past week, the Wolverines have slipped to No. 25 in this week’s AP Poll.

After winning a nail-biter last Monday at home against Maryland, the team got owned in every facet of the game three nights later at Nebraska. The Wolverines bounced back yesterday at home to defeat Rutgers by 15.
The Wolverines have just one game this week after playing four in the last eight days. Their lone opponent is a rematch from two weeks ago — the No. 3 Purdue Boilermakers (7 p.m., ESPN). I think we all know what happened in that game, and we all know what Purdue has done to the Big Ten since then, so I believe it’s fair to say Michigan has a huge chance to put an exclamation mark on their tournament resume come Thursday evening.
Meanwhile in the Big Ten, in-state rival Michigan State climbed up to the No. 6 spot, while Ohio State moved up nine spots to No. 13, the biggest jump of any team this week.
