The Wolverines finished the non-conference portion of their schedule undefeated, topping it off with a 74-52 victory over Binghamton Sunday.
They enter Big Ten play 13-0, and recorded a 34-5 record for the 2018 calendar year.
After a Thursday night home tilt against Penn State (7 p.m. ET, ESPN), Michigan hosts No. 21 Indiana Sunday. The tipoff time is set for 4:30 p.m. on CBS.
Michigan State remains at No. 8, while Ohio State dropped a spot to No. 14. Wisconsin fell to No. 22 after an upset loss to Western Kentucky.
No. 24 Nebraska and No. 25 Iowa round out the top-25 for the Big Ten.
