Did you feel it yesterday?
That huge gust of wind that passed through the entire state of Michigan?
Some meteorologists would say it was “unusual weather,” but I say it was the collective sigh of relief from Michigan Wolverine fans after John Beilein announced on Twitter he would be staying in Ann Arbor.
I love the University of Michigan and I am excited about coaching our Men’s Basketball Team next season and in the years to come ! Let’s go hang some more banners at “THE GREATEST UNIVERSITY IN THE WORLD “#GoBlue

One person responsible for Beilein staying is U-M Athletic Director Warde Manuel, and he put out a rare statement Wednesday night in regards to his head basketball coach staying at Michigan.
“We are thrilled that John Beilein will be our coach now and into the future,” Manuel said in the statement. “We made it a priority to sit down shortly after our tremendous run in the Final Four to discuss and solidify his future at Michigan. Michigan has become home for John and Kathleen (John’s wife) the past 11 years and we are excited they plan to stay for years to come.”
After what Beilein has accomplished in his first 11 seasons at U-M — 2 Final Fours, 2 National Championship appearances, 2 Big Ten Tournament championships, 2 Big Ten regular season championships, 1 Big Ten Coach of the Year, embarrassing Tom Izzo and MSU over and over again — he is more than deserving of an extension. Give that man whatever he wants because he turned the program from nothing into a national contender.
I fully expect the contract extension to get done relatively quick, and for us to receive the official news not long after that.
Next up: paying Beilein’s assistants top dollar.
