Michigan freshman Ignas Brazdeikis has been one of the biggest surprises in college basketball this season. He was the 40th-ranked recruit coming out of high school, and is now the Wolverines’ leading scorer. He’s been named Big Ten Freshman of the Week four times already, and the accolades continue to come in.
Late Monday night, Iggy was name to the Wooden Award Late Season Top 20.

Other Big Ten players to make the list include Michigan State’s Cassius Winston, Purdue’s Carsen Edwards and Wisconsin’s Ethan Happ.
Brazdeikis is averaging 15.2 points, 5.5 rebounds, and an assist so far this season. Fans have seen a little bit of everything from the freshman, whether it be hitting shots from outside the arc, finishing at the rim, knocking down free throws or being a force on defense.
With just nine games left in the regular season, we’ll see if he can continue to perform at a high level and earn more national respect for the great season he has had.
