The Texas Tech Red Raiders had a dominating win against the Michigan Wolverines in the NCAA Tournament, winning 63-44. The Raiders ended up losing to Virginia in overtime of the NCAA Championship game.
Now Michigan has a head coaching vacancy to fill and a name that has been brought up by pundits has been Tech head coach Chris Beard.
College hoops analyst Dick Vitale took to Twitter to give an update on Beard’s chances of being the next coach at Michigan.
I see @TexasTechMBB coach Chris Beard’s name in jobs like @ Michigan but he told me it is flattering but it will take a special special offer to get him away from the Red Raiders. pic.twitter.com/jNGJgl9fHq

On April 29th, Beard signed a six year contract extension worth $4.5 million a year, making him the third highest paid coach in the nation. It sounds like it would take a very lucrative offer among other incentives to entice Beard enough to leave Texas Tech.
Beard has accumulated a 76-31 record in three seasons at Texas Tech, going 31-7 last season.
