Former teammates of Juwan Howard have become big time supports of his during Michigan’s search to find a new basketball coach.
Chris Webber and Jalen Rose have been vocal in their support, and now Dwyane Wade and Lebron James have made comments about Howard potentially landing in Ann Arbor.
Talk to me nice. Say it is so!!!? My guy deserves this opportunity. This will only be right https://t.co/TWWH4UuiTZ

Man WHAT!!!!?? Absolutely the right choice and i hope it becomes a done deal ASAP!! One of my favorite people I’ve ever met at the age of 16 and been around since then. https://t.co/hdmF60odnm

Wade and James both played with Howard during a period where the Miami Heat won two titles and went to four consecutive NBA Finals. What’s interesting is Howard has been an assistant coach for the Heat since 2013, so Wade has had the chance to play with him and then get coached by him as well.
These tweets are a sign of things to come, this isn’t the last commentary from Wade or James about Howard and Michigan.
If Michigan does indeed hire Howard as their next head coach, expect more tweets from Lebron and D-Wade about their former teammate. The approval of Lebron and Wade could be a useful selling point on the recruiting trail for Howard.
