The Juwan Howard era is getting off to an intriguing start. There have been plenty of notable reactions, top Michigan target Jalen Wilson posted a cryptic tweet, and there’s speculation that Howard can get the sons of Lebron James and Dwyane Wade to commit to Michigan.
ESPN’s Fran Fraschilla believes that Howard can recruit Bronny James and Zaire Wade.
Juwan Howard should be good hire @umichbball, especially because he’ll bring @MiamiHEAT culture of work ethic & toughness he learned from Pat Riley & Eric Spoelstra. He’ll likely get Bronny James & Zaire Wade. Beilein culture was great, too. Fab Five culture? Fun times but nah.

Zaire is a 2020 point guard from Fort Lauderdale, Florida, while Bronny is a 2023 guard from Santa Monica, California.
Howard was a teammate of James and Wade for their run of four consecutive NBA Finals appearances, winning two of them. After Howard retired, he became an assistant coach for the Miami Heat and coached Wade for six seasons.
Both Wade and Lebron were vocal in their support of Howard heading to Michigan on Tuesday night, and now that Howard has landed the gig it’ll be highly interesting to see if these future NBA Hall of Fame candidates influence Zaire and Bronny to play at Michigan.
Talk to me nice. Say it is so!!!? My guy deserves this opportunity. This will only be right https://t.co/TWWH4UuiTZ

Bronny’s recruitment won’t start heating up for a little while, but Zaire’s on the other hand will be getting kicked into full gear relatively soon. Zaire already has offers from Nebraska and Depaul.
Relationships are important in life, and it’s possible the one Howard forged with Wade and Lebron could pay dividends for the Michigan basketball program.
