The Michigan Wolverines will officially announce Juwan Howard as the 17th head coach of the basketball program Thursday at noon.

Howard interviewed with Warde Manuel on May 21, and was hired the next day.

The press conference will be on the Big Ten Network and the Fox Sports App.

Prior to the press conference, BTN will show the epic Elite Eight battle between the Wolverines and the Ohio State Buckeyes on March 29, 1992. Michigan would be victorious in overtime 75-71 behind 23 points from Chris Webber and 10 from the Wolverines’ new head coach.

After the presser, BTN will air the Michigan/Michigan State game from March 7 1993. The Wolverines downed the Spartans 87-81 in overtime.
