The Big Ten announced on Friday the full schedule of conference games for the upcoming basketball season, which is set to see a 20-game slate played for the second year in a row. Michigan, in its first season under Juwan Howard at head coach, will open the conference slate of games on Dec. 6 when they host Iowa at Crisler Center.

The other game set for December will take place in a trip to Illinois on Dec. 11 before the Wolverines close out their non-conference slate of games.

The calendar flips to 2020 with perhaps the toughest test of them all with a trip to East Lansing to take on the Michigan State Spartans, who are expected to be one of the top-ranked teams in college basketball, on Jan. 5. The Spartans will make a return trip to Ann Arbor on Saturday, Feb. 8.

The stretch to start off the new year does not get any easier, as after the trip to East Lansing the Wolverines will welcome Purdue to Crisler center before traveling to Minnesota and Iowa on Jan. 12 and Jan. 17, respectively. Purdue will host the Wolverines in the rematch in West Lafayette on Feb. 22.

One of the bigger wins on the schedule is that Michigan will avoid a trip to Kohl Center in Madison, Wisconsin, but will host the Badgers at Crisler on Feb. 27.
