Michigan Wolverines head coach Juwan Howard spoke to the media on Wednesday afternoon to preview the team’s showdown with Wisconsin at Crisler Center on Thursday night. The health of junior guard Eli Brooks came up, where Howard said that his status for the game is yet to be determined.

Brooks to a shot to the nose and left Saturday’s win at Purdue with a towel over his face. Howard said on Thursday that his nose is “still swollen” and that, being a guy who had a broken nose three times, it looked similar “at times” to what his looked like. Brooks may wear a mask if he plays on Thursday.

If Brooks were unable to go, one would assume that David DeJulius would slide into his spot in the starting lineup. Brooks is averaging 11 points, 3.7 rebounds and two assists per game and has played and started in every game for the Wolverines this season.

Thursday night’s game against Wisconsin is scheduled for a 7 p.m. ET tipoff and will be broadcast via ESPN2. Our game preview for the contest can be found here.
