Behold! Maize n Brew is bring you brackets — with an interactive challenge on the way.

NCAA Basketball: NCAA Tournament-Second Round-Michigan vs Florida Steven Branscombe-USA TODAY Sports

There’s a timeline in an alternate, COVID-19-less reality right now where the Michigan Wolverines are awaiting their NCAA Tournament draw, as is the rest of the college basketball world. Maize n Brew has been to that timeline and also just happened to be a part of the selection committee*.

*Seeding came from Bracket Matrix and then we manipulated some things here and there to make things a little more interesting, namely not having a conference like the Big Ten having five teams in one region. Also, any coaches who get bonuses’ triggered by this bracket must pay MnB a cut of it. Those are the rules.

To fill the March-sized hole in our hearts, we’re going to simulate (using ncaagamesim.com) and play this thing on on the days that these games were originally set to occur so you’ll be able to follow along throughout. First Four games will be simulated on Tuesday and Wednesday before the Big Dance* kicks off Thursday and Friday, and so on.

We’re working on a way to make this interactive for fans and readers as a bracket pool (for bragging rights) just like you would have done with friends or at the office. As a site, we will branch out some coverage from this as we all try to have fun while we practice good health and social distancing!

Click on the bracket below to enlarge and heck, print out a copy, fill it out and tag us in it on social media with #MnBBracket and show it off!

P.S. — Don’t think too hard about it. Let’s just have fun here.
