Michigan Men’s Basketball enters top ten of AP Top 25

The surge continues for the Wolverines.

NCAA Basketball: Northwestern at Michigan Tim Fuller-USA TODAY Sports

The Michigan Wolverines are 9-0 and continued their hot streak with a pair of wins over Maryland and Northwestern last week. Now, they find themselves in their highest-ranked spot of the 2020-21 season to this point.

This week’s AP Poll puts Michigan up six spots to No. 10 in the country. This makes them the third-highest team in the Big Ten Conference after Iowa (No. 5) and Wisconsin (No. 8). Overall, there are eight ranked teams in the conference with Iowa, Wisconsin, Michigan, Illinois (No. 12), Rutgers (No. 15), Minnesota (No. 16), and Michigan State (No. 23).

There was a big shape in the top five outside of Gonzaga and Baylor in the top two spots. Villanova moved up to third, while Texas lept four spots up to No. 4 and Iowa slid in at five.

Here is the full poll for this week.
