The Michigan Wolverines men’s basketball program and Big Ten Conference released the conference opponent breakdown for the 2021-22 slate of games. The Big Ten will be playing a 20-game conference schedule for the fourth straight season with two games taking place around the weekend of the football championship weekend.
The final 18 games of the conference schedule will take place after the new year.
The Wolverines will play home-and-home dates against Michigan State, Illinois, Iowa, Nebraska, Ohio State, Purdue and Rutgers. Michigan hosts single matchups with Maryland, Minnesota, and Northwestern at home and will play at Indiana, Penn State and Wisconsin on the road.

The Big Ten Tournament will take place in Indianapolis again at Bankers Life Fieldhouse on March 9-13, 2022.
Michigan went 14-3 in Big Ten play in Juwan Howard’s second season as head coach and won the conference outright. They will look to do the same this upcoming season with the No. 1 recruiting class in the country and returning starters Eli Brooks, Brandon Johns and Hunter Dickinson.
