The Michigan Wolverines men’s basketball program will open Big Ten Conference play on Dec. 7, according to the schedule release on Wednesday. Michigan’s full 2021-22 slate of games is now official.

The defending regular-season Big Ten champs already had their non-conference games set a few weeks back, so the blanks have been filled in everywhere else. Their first showdown of the year with the Michigan State Spartans will come at home on Jan. 8. The regular-season finale comes on the road against the Ohio State Buckeyes.

The Wolverines have single-play games at home against Maryland, Minnesota and Northwestern with single-play road tilts at Indiana, Penn State and Wisconsin. Michigan will play home-and-homes with Illinois, Iowa, Michigan State, Nebraska, Ohio State, Purdue and Rutgers.
