Michigan women’s golf advances to national finals

Michigan’s women’s golf team is advancing to the NCAA national championship for a second straight season and a fifth time overall. The 18th-ranked Wolverines, who entered Wednesday’s final round of the Ann Arbor regional in fourth place – the final qualifying spot for the national finals – shot a 3-over-par 287 to finished tied for third with No. 20 Arkansas. Their 287 was their best round of the three-day NCAA regional at University of Michigan Golf Course and helped them pick up 11 strokes on the Razorbacks on Wednesday. Wisconsin quarterback Graham Mertz has tested positive for COVID-19, according to reports on Sunday. If a PCR test confirms it to be a positive, he will have to sit out for 21 days. Given that Michigan plays Wisconsin in 20 days and Jack Coan is already out, this is notable for the Badgers. Among other things of course.
