The University of Michigan Health System has confirmed a case of coronavirus (COVID-19) currently in their inpatient care. They believe the risk of infection is low, but are taking all precautions to prevent the spread of the disease. More information can be found in the statement above.
Former Michigan Wolverines (and most recently Cleveland Cavaliers) head coach John Beilein is joining Big Ten Network as a studio analyst ahead of this week's conference tournament in Indianapolis, Indiana. He will make his first appearance on Wednesday at 5:30 p.m. ET.
John Beilein was back in the building on Thursday night for Michigan Basketball's game against Nebraska on Senior Night. This was the first time he has been back to Michigan since leaving last spring to take the Cleveland Cavaliers job, which he parted ways with last month.
The Pac-12 is streaming another Michigan Baseball game as the spring break trip continues in California. Wednesday night sees the Wolverines taking on the Cal Golden Bears in Berkley after losing to Stanford on Wednesday night to fall to 6-5 on the season. Former Michigan linebacker and Ohio native Joe Bolden has joined the staff of Ohio State football as a defensive quality control coach. Bolden was one of Jim Harbaugh's first captains in Ann Arbor back in 2015 and is a Cincinnati native. Another wrinkle to the rivalry. Previous stops for him include Washington State and USC.
Michigan guard Eli Brooks is back in the starting lineup on Sunday in the game against Ohio State. He is also wearing a face mask to protect the broken nose he suffered at Purdue last weekend.
