In a bit of interesting news following the dismissal of head coach Brady Hoke, the assistant coaches have also cleaned out their offices and have been ordered to stop contacting commits and recruits, according to a report from Wolverine247's Steve Lorenz.
Lorenz also says a source informed him that it does not necessarily mean that Michigan is cleaning house entirely and that it is possible members of Hoke's staff could interview for a position next year. In the meantime, they will be allowed to pursue other opportunities that may present themselves.
Also in the report is the news that interim athletic director Jim Hackett will meet with Michigan players sometime tomorrow afternoon, likely regarding the ongoing transition that is taking place in the athletic department.
What is gathered from this is that Michigan is willing to go at least a few weeks without any members of the coaching staff around to get their ducks in a row. It should not be too much of an issue with final exams and Christmas break rapidly approaching, as well as a recruiting dead period.
