Michigan boasts two of the best players at their positions in cornerback Jourdan Lewis and tight end Jake Butt. Both were nominated for the Thorpe and Mackey awards, respectively and named seminfinalists.
But neither made the cut of the final three for each award.

Lewis set a school record with 19 passes defended and has two interceptions on the season.
Iowa's Desmond King leads the nation with eight interceptions and has eight pass breakups to go along with them. Duke's Jeremy Cash has 94 tackles from the safety position. Vernon Hargreaves from Florida has four interceptions and two passes broken up.
Butt has 43 receptions for 566 yards and two touchdowns.
Henry has 44 catches for 619 yards and 3 touchdowns this season. Hooper has 26 for 379 yards and 5 touchdowns, and Leggett has 27 receptions for 345 yards and 6 touchdowns.
