Michigan vs. Florida: Citrus Bowl Game Preview

Everything you need to know about Friday afternoon's bowl game, including broadcast information and game predictions.

Tim Fuller-USA TODAY Sports

The last Michigan Football game of 2015 is finally upon us.

The Wolverines (9-3, 6-2 B1G) take on the Florida Gators (10-3, 7-1 SEC) meet on Friday afternoon in the Buffalo Wild Wings Citrus Bowl in Orlando, Florida.

This game puts two of college football's most storied programs against each other on New Years Day, which we last saw take place in 2008's edition of this bowl. Both programs had better-than-expected seasons under the leadership of their first year head coaches in U-M's Jim Harbaugh and Florida's Jim McElwain, respectively.

This should end up being a low-scoring slugfest between two of the better defenses in all of college football this past season.

If you like physical, grind-it-out football, then this is the bowl game for you.

On the injury front, it looks like Michigan starting quarterback Jake Rudock will be good to go after suffering a shoulder injury in the regular season finale against Ohio State. However, do-it-all defensive back Jabrill Peppers sounds like a longshot to play with a rumored hand injury.

In terms of a prediction, I have Michigan earning its tenth win of the season, finishing the season with a 23-16 victory over the Gators.
