With Don Brown gearing up for his first season as the Michigan Wolverines' defensive coordinator, the Detroit News has obtained a copy of his coaching contract.
Brown will receive a total of $2.7 million over three years, starting at $850,000 in year one and rising to $950,000 in year three. He was hired at Michigan last month from Boston College, where he led the nation's top-ranked defense. The Wolverines' previous DC, D.J. Durkin, is now head coach at Maryland.
Brown will owe Michigan $250,000 if he terminates the contract early, and he'll receive up to $30,000 in moving expenses.
