Saturday was going to be huge no matter what, but now it will officially pit No. 2 against No. 3.
The Michigan Wolverines are third-ranked in the land per the latest AP Top 25, and will face the second-ranked Ohio State Buckeyes in The Game Saturday at noon.
It doesn’t get much bigger than that. Literally. Alabama, for the thousandth week in a row, is No. 1, but should Michigan win Saturdays contest it will be on course for a shot at them anyway.
UM ranked ahead of Ohio State in the S&P+ rankings, for what that’s worth. Also, on a #ConferencePride note, the Big Ten has three teams in the top 5 for the first time in 56 years.
