Thomas is a four-star prospect and the 102nd-ranked overall player in the country, according to the 247 Composite. He is the 11th-ranked cornerback, which is the position he is primarily being recruited it.
The Wolverines were able to hold off Michigan State and Penn State, among others, for his services.
Thomas is the second-ranked player in the state behind elite wide receiver Donovan Peoples-Jones, who is now the biggest remaining fish on the board. He will be in town for an official visit this weekend.
This pledge brings the Wolverines to 21 members in their 2017 class with a huge official visit weekend lined up for a few days from now. We will see if more good news is on the way for Michigan.
