Michigan Football Jumps on the Running Man Challenge Craze

Dancing to a 20-year-old song is the new thing.

Who says the Michigan Wolverines can't have fun?

Above, watch as members of the UM football team dance around various parts of campus doing the "running man challenge."

What's the running man challenge? Glad you asked. You can get the whole rundown here, but it was started by Maryland Terps basketball players Jared Nickens, Jaylen Brantley and Damonte Dodd. The trio began dancing to the 1996 hit "My Boo" by Ghost Town DJs, and posted it to Instagram:

Oh yeahh!!! wassup wit it ? @jaybriddle_1 add my snap: jnickkk

The dance quickly spread to other teams, including Villanova, Virginia Tech, UConn, Marquette and now Michigan.

While it bears some resemblance to the Plies "Ran Off On the Plug Twice" dance everyone was doing around bowl season, this is an entirely new movement set to a song older than many of the players doing it.
