The Big Ten Network's rollout of old school highlights continues with this game pitting the Michigan Wolverines against Illinois on Nov. 1963.
It wasn't a banner year for Michigan as the Wolverines finished 3-4-2 overall, 2-3-2 in Big Ten play. In contrast, Illinois was a powerhouse, coming into the game ranked No. 2 in the nation and later winning the Rose Bowl.
On this day, however, UM got the best of Illinois in front of 55,810 at Memorial Stadium. Michigan coach Bump Elliott bested his brother, Illini coach Pete Elliott, by the score of 14-8. It was Pete's only loss that season.
