WATCH: BTN Interviews Jourdan Lewis and Jabrill Peppers

“We’re going to be one of the best defenses in the country.”

Two of the most exciting Michigan Wolverines defensive players sat down for an interview with the Big Ten Network, and talked about a number of issues concerning the upcoming season.

In the interview, senior cornerback Jourdan Lewis describes Don Brown’s defense as "very aggressive."

"You can see that from the get-go," he says. "As soon as we get out there. First down, it's a blitz. That's our motto and that's what we're going to do the whole season — be aggressive."

Sophomore Jabrill Peppers has to answer a difficult question: What position do you play?

"It varies," he says. "It's a hybrid safety, linebacker, nickel, it's all incorporated into one."

Peppers says his main focus right now is on defense, not saying how much he might be used on the offensive side of the ball.

Peppers also says he tells the quarterbacks not to get too frustrated practicing against the UM defense.

"They've been doing a great job trying to figure out what we're doing on defense, because it's a lot," Peppers says. "We just tell them, 'don't get frustrated,' because we're going to be one of the best defenses in the country. So we tell them to try to hone in on what the coaches are telling y'all, take it with a grain of salt and keep getting better every day."
