If you’ve always known you had what it takes to make that jump from Michigan Wolverines fan to walk-on football player, now is your chance.
UM is giving students the opportunity to sign up for a possible tryout with the football team Monday and Tuesday, Feb. 6-7, at Schembechler Hall from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Of course, there are a few stipulations:
Interested participants must be active undergraduate or graduate students currently enrolled at the University of Michigan's Ann Arbor campus and must be in good standing with the University of Michigan and with NCAA eligibility standards to be considered for a tryout opportunity.
Even if you meet those requirements, participants cannot be more than six years removed from their high school graduation unless on active military duty and/or a religious mission. It would also help to be really, really good at football.
But, if you’ve got what it takes for gridiron glory and/or the chance to spend a lot more time with Jim Harbaugh, the time is now.
