The No. 12 Michigan Wolverines came into this game at The Big House against the No. 15 Wisconsin Badgers with something to prove. While they may not have answered all the questions, they passed an important test heading into yet another pivotal matchup versus Michigan State next Saturday.

Game Recap

Second Quarter

- After neither team scored in the first quarter, a 81-yard Shea Patterson read option run puts Michigan in excellent field position. The drive is capped off with a Karan Higdon 2-yard TD run. Michigan leads 7-0

- Wisconsin wasted no time answering Michigan’s score. A 4 play 71-yard drive ends with a 33-yard run to the outside by Kendric Pryor. Score is tied 7-7

- A 7 play Michigan drive leads to a 42-yard field goal by Quinn Nordin. Michigan leads 10-7

- Wisconsin QB Alex Hornibrook throws an interception that puts Michigan in solid field position. U-M isn’t able to gain a first down, but Nordin makes a 33-yard field goal. Michigan leads 13-7

Third Quarter

- It looked as if Michigan was going to have to punt, but during the punt play the Badgers are called for roughing the snapper, and Michigan’s offense gets to head back on the field. The Wolverines make them pay, Shea Patterson finds the end-zone on a 7-yard read-option run. U-M then was able to convert on a two-point conversion. Michigan leads 21-7

Fourth Quarter

- The Wolverines have another good drive, but have to settle for another Nordin field, this time from 35 yards out. Michigan leads 24-7

- Michigan is turning this into an ass kicking at this point. Alex Hornibrook has thrown for just 25 yards, and just threw a pick-six to Lavert Hill, a 21-yard score. Michigan leads 31-7

- Dylan McCaffrey is now in at quarterback for Michigan, and he takes a read-option run all the way for a 44-yard touchdown. Michigan leads 38-7

- Wisconsin is able to get a garbage time touchdown, a 3-yard reception by A.J. Taylor. Michigan leads 38-13
