One of the stat sites we love here at Maize n Brew is Pro Football Focus.

The site has been releasing its midseason All-Conference teams this week, and two Michigan Wolverines made the cut for the first-team defense.

Defensive end Chase Winovich and linebacker Devin Bush lead the charge for Michigan.

Bush and Winovich are both putting up stellar seasons so far. Bush leads the team in tackles (45), has six TFLs, 3.5 sacks, two pass breakups and one quarterback hit. Winovich has real estate in the backfield, as he has 10.5 tackles for loss to go along with 39 total tackles, three sacks, four quarterback hits and one pass breakup.

Rashan Gary and Brandon Watson both made the second-team defense. Gary, who has missed the last two games due to a shoulder injury, has 22 tackles, 4.5 tackles for loss, three quarterback hits and two sacks. Watson has 22 tackles, 1.5 tackles for loss, three pass breakups and two interceptions, one of which was returned for a touchdown.

Elsewhere, no Wolverines made the cut for the All-Big Ten offense.

Karan Higdon, however, did make the cut for the second-team. He has 687 rushing yards on 120 carries (5.7 yards per carry) and six touchdowns in 2018. He also has three catches for 31 yards.
