The recent news about Karan Higdon may not be a surprise to Michigan fans after watching him the last year.
He’s become one of the best running backs, and is now being recognized for his season so far, as he was named a semifinalist for the Doak Walker Award.

He broke the 1,000-yard mark last Saturday against Rutgers and still has two games before the regular season concludes. The list includes more from the Big Ten, including Jonathan Taylor from Wisconsin.

The award was named after Doak Walker, who was the 1948 Heisman Trophy winner and three-time All-American running back at SMU.
The three finalists will be named on Nov. 19 with the winner announced on Dec. 6 on ESPN.
