Chase Winovich gives injury update on Instagram

It sounds like we haven’t seen the last of Winovich in a Michigan uniform

In the third quarter of Michigan’s win over Indiana, defensive end Chase Winovich left the game after he was hit by offensive lineman Simon Stepaniak, who also lept onto Winovich after he was on the ground.

Jim Harbaugh said at his post-game presser that x-rays came back negative, and that things were progressing well, safety Josh Metellus said he expected Winovich to play next week, but now Winovich shared how he’s feeling on his Instagram page.

“To those who celebrated what they thought would be my demise, I’ll be back,” Winovich said.

The key question is when? This is Winovich’s last ride as a Michigan Wolverine, there aren’t many games left. Winovich is a huge leader on the Michigan defense and a key contributor game after game, and the one responsible for coining this Michigan season a “Revenge Tour”.

The sooner Michigan has Winovich back, the better.
