To no one’s surprise, the Michigan Wolverines are still at top-four team heading into Columbus.
The College Football Playoff Committee released its rankings Tuesday night and the Wolverines are still slotted in at No. 4.
Here’s the full #CFBPlayoff Top 2️⃣5️⃣ rankings for games played through November 17.

The only real shock here is UCF jumping Ohio State, but everything else is practically the same.
But the rankings have never mattered much up to this point, and they still really don’t. The Wolverines cannot lose focus heading into The Game. It’s the most important game of the season; a lot is on the line and they know that. It’s winner-take-all for the East Division, and a chance for them to defeat the Buckeyes on the road for the first time since 2000.
Yeah, this Saturday’s game is kinda important.
So, yeah, it’s cool Michigan is still in the playoff picture. But it won’t be if it doesn’t get the job done Saturday. Everything the Wolverines have been working for this season will vanish if they lose in Columbus.
The Wolverines’ fate rests in their hands. They know what they need to do. Win and they are in.
Go do it, Michigan.
