Happy Super Bowl Sunday, everyone!
I think we can all agree that we want to see a great game tonight between the New England Patriots and the Philadelphia Eagles. But one thing, as Michigan Wolverine fans, that we may have a disagreement on is which former Wolverine we want to win it the most.
Of course, if the Eagles win only one former Wolverine will win — defensive end Brandon Graham. Graham has a good case if you’d want him to win it the most, as he has grinded this season to get to where his team is at. He had 47 tackles, 9.5 sacks, two forced fumbles and two passes broken up. He’s been dominant on the loaded Eagles’ defensive line.
As for the Patriots, there are three guys you can choose from — linebacker David Harris, defensive lineman Alan Branch, and then some guy named Tom Brady.
Harris signed with the Patriots over the summer after being with the New York Jets since his rookie season in 2007. He had 22 tackles, 1.5 sacks and one pass break up in 10 regular season games.
Branch had an injury-plagued season, only starting in six of his 12 games he played. He recorded just 12 total tackles. He did not play in the AFC Championship game, but is expected to play tonight.
And then there is that Brady fella, the player that I am personally rooting the most for to win the Super Bowl. The GOAT is looking to claim his sixth Super Bowl ring and secure his place on the Mount Rushmore of athletes. He won the NFL MVP last night and could win the Super Bowl and the Super Bowl MVP tonight. What a weekend it’d be for TB12.
I understand that if the Patriots win, all three of the guys I just listed will get a ring. But this question is pretty much asking you who you’d be most happy for to win the Super Bowl. Be sure to vote and comment why you voted the way you did!
