The first round of the 2018 NFL Draft came and went without a Michigan Wolverine being selected.
The only Wolverine expected to potentially be drafted in the first round this year was defensive tackle Maurice Hurst. A heart condition picked up by NFL teams led to reports being floated around that the star defensive tackle could fall to Day 3 of the draft.
I could not help but think “how far is this slide going to continue?” right after the first round ended last night. I came back to that report of him falling to Day 3 and thought it may be true. Perhaps he will fall that far because of his health concern.
But ultimately, I think he’ll be picked sometime today in the second or third round. I just cannot see him falling to the third day of the draft; it would just be insane to me for a superstar like Hurst to fall that far. But crazier things have happened, so we will have to wait and see.
You’re up. How far do you think he will fall?
