The Michigan Wolverines have leadership all over the place, but their three seniors are set to appear at Big Ten Media Days next Monday in Chicago.

Chase Winovich, Tyree Kinnel and Karan Higdon are scheduled to attend the media extravaganza, along with head coach Jim Harbaugh, on July 23.

It was no surprise these three players would represent the Wolverines, as no juniors or underclassmen have ever represented Michigan at Big Ten Media Days.

Last season, it was Mike McCray, Mason Cole and Maurice Hurst. In 2016, it was Jake Butt, Jourdan Lewis and Amara Darboh. Finally, in 2015, it was Jehu Chesson (technically a redshirt junior, but still senior academics-wise), James Ross and Joe Bolden.

The Wolverines are only scheduled to speak Monday. Harbaugh will speak at 2:30 p.m. and 3:15 p.m., and the players will meet with the media at 5:30 p.m. Harbaugh’s first session should run about 15 minutes, while his second is scheduled for an hour. The players’ media availability is also scheduled for one hour.

Big Ten Media Days are July 23 and 24, next Monday and Tuesday at the Chicago Marriott Downtown Magnificent Mile. Our own Trevor Woods will be at the event covering it in its entirety. We are getting very close to football, my friends. The wait is almost over.
