Saturday night, chatter on message boards stated Michigan Wolverines’ wide receiver Tarik Black injured his foot in practice, but nothing was confirmed by the program.
That news going around on social media worried fans, as he had issues last year with his left foot, which ended up sidelining him for the remainder of the 2017 season following the Air Force game.
Angelique Chengelis from the Detroit News confirmed what fans were worrying about — Black injured his foot in practice Saturday.
From UM: The Michigan Football program announced that wide receiver Tarik Black sustained a right foot injury at Saturday's practice. Tarik is currently being evaluated and no definitive time frame has been determined for his return to play.— angelique (@chengelis) August 26, 2018
It’s important to note this is not the same foot Black injured last season.
Others in that unit, primarily Nico Collins, have done well through fall camp, so there is still some hope at the position.
