Jim Harbaugh participated in the weekly Big Ten teleconference with the media (click here for some notes on that), but it was a conference in South Bend that may have revealed the most interesting Michigan information of the day.
According to Elizabeth Greason of The Observer, Harbaugh reached out to Notre Dame head coach Brian Kelly to try and resume the program’s rivalry
Kelly says Michigan coach Jim Harbaugh reached out to him to see about resuming the Notre Dame - Michigan series.

I am all for this. Michigan/Notre Dame is a historic rivalry that dates back to 1887. Some of the greatest Michigan games of all time have been against Notre Dame. From the Under The Lights games at Michigan Stadium to the oddly epic showdowns during the Rich Rod era, Michigan/Notre Dame never fails to disappoint, and I expect nothing less this weekend.
Harbaugh said it earlier this week to reporters — it simply makes sense to have Notre Dame on the schedule every year. And I wholeheartedly agree.
What do you think? Would you prefer this rivalry series to continue every season? I sure as hell am on board.
