This year on MnB, we are trying something new.
Our own Mak Popa and Josh LaFond brought up the idea of doing live stream simulations of Michigan and their weekly opponents on NCAA 14.
I personally love this idea, so I’m excited to bring you our first simulation of the season, which was streamed live on Facebook earlier today.
Michigan took down Notre Dame 23-13 in a mostly-defensive showdown. ND quarterback Brandon Wimbush threw five interceptions, while Shea Patterson contributed two touchdowns and one interception and was only sacked...ONCE?! It’s too good to be true!
Karan Higdon had a monster day, rushing for 63 yards and one touchdown and catching 11 passes (!) for 34 yards. Zach Gentry caught Patterson’s lone passing touchdown, and Donovan Peoples-Jones had nine catches for 74 yards.
Defensively, Devin Bush led the team with two interceptions, with Devin Gil also picking up an interception, nine tackles and a sack. Rashan Gary sacked Wimbush three times, and Aubrey Solomon picked one up, too.
Lavert Hill picked off Wimbush late to seal the deal. Oddly enough, defensive end Luiji Vilain had an interception, as well.
For all the fun, watch below.
