Not a ton of offensive action came in the first half, but one of the Michigan Wolverines’ touchdowns came on the final play of the half by the defense.
After safety Josh Metellus got called for a 15-yard pass interference penalty, he promptly followed that up with a 73-yard interception return for a touchdown.
Touchdown, Michigan!

This gave Michigan a 21-7 lead heading into the locker room.
That is a huge play for a guy that just gave the opposition 15 yards due to a penalty. The coverage by the safeties had been spotty all half long, so maybe that will give him and the rest of the safeties some confidence heading into the second half.
